Problem mit Truecrypt 5.0a
- Wenn ich eine bestehende Partition mounte, dann wird sie manchmal nicht
angezeigt, weder in TC noch im Explorer, mounten geht aber nicht nochmal,
da meckert er
- wenn denn dann doch erfolgreich gemountet, kann man alles lesen (ich
hab NICHT Readonly oder so gemounted), aber ich kann keine Änderungen
vornehmen an Dateinamen z.B. , selbst Berechtigungen können nicht auf die
Files angewendet werden, da meckert Windows, dass das Laufwerk nicht
verfügbar wäre?
dann hab ich versucht:
einen kleinen container anzulegen, 5MB, als TC den dann formatiert hat,
konnte er es nicht mit NTFS, er bot dann an es mit FAT zu versuchen. das
ging dann...
arg komisch ?

Ich habs auch bei TC gepostet :
Installed this Night 5-) Vista Ultimate 64bit Version.
And now I installed Truecrypt 5.0a.
I had many problems :
1) I mounted a partition, created with tc4.3a, i mounted it without any
options like read only or something. Sometimes, the thing get mounted,
sometimes the drive is not to see in explorer or in truecrypt. But re-mount
not work, TC sayd, it is allready mounted..
ok... after a few trys... Its mounted... then I can read and look into my files
but
2) I cant change anything. I cant rename files on this partition, I cant also
not change access rights, windows told me, that the file is not available,
the drive is not available??
I try then a test (step by step so that maybe anyone can recognize why
the problem occour):
- started TC5.0a
- I create Volume, standard with AES,
- choose 5 MB
- password 123456
- choose NTFS, Cluster : default
- click on format
then UAC Vista asked me for permission to use truecrypt (why ever)...
after clicking yes i get instantly

Windows failed to format the volume as NTFS.
Do you want to format the volume as FAT instead.
If I choose "yes" the file is formated via FAT, if I choose "no" I get "failed to
format volume"
huuuu...
many and strange problems...
Any Hints from Visat64 users??

ps: I also tryd and started Truecrpt "as Administrator".
additional Info:
I deinstalled TC5.0a
and used 4.3a
With this version I cant create the 5MB Test Volume-Container and format it
with NTFS.
But Iam still not able to mount the partition (witch is a 4.3a partition).
TC shows it as mounted. But if I choose "open", Vista told me, the path or
drive is not there...
