Opera und colgroup

Kann Opera kein <colgroup> ?
Hab nämlich gerade in eine html Seite folgende Tabelle eingefügt.

<colgroup width="300" span="3">
</colgroup>
<tr>
<td><img src="../images/1.jpg"></td>
<td><img src="../images/2.jpg"></td>
<td><img src="../images/3.jpg"></td>
</tr>
</table>

Im IE 6.0 geht das ganze auch aber im Opera 6.01 sind die Spalten immer nur so gross wie nötig.
